Back from hiatus!

Good morning to you all! I'm so sorry that I have been absent for so long. As you may or may not know, I was busy working on customs for the MLP fair in July. Well that has come and gone. Before the fair I was busy, after the fair I was busy/lazy. But now I'm back! I know there are a lot of customs I haven't shared with you yet, so we'll go one week at a time until I'm caught up.

This week I would like to share with you a commission of Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII. I have actually just started playing this game for the first time ever. I love it so far! I haven't met the one-winged angel yet though. Anyway, details sculpted with magic sculpt and painted with acrylics, hair is white nylon from dollyhair. A very sexy pony, if I do say so myself. Enjoy!

I also wanted to add that my commissions are currently closed until I get caught up. I will be open again soon!

Aislynn, Imoo and Princess Zelda

Happy Thursday! I finished quite a few customs last week. I was trying really hard to finish one every day for June, but that is turning out to be difficult. I can only do so much and then I have to stop, not to mention my busy life keeps getting in the way. Somebody has to housework around here!

And here they are!

More Legend of Zelda customs are coming soon! Also coming soon X-Men and Final Fantasy! Follow my blog to see them!

Saria and Pendragon

Good afternoon lovelies! I was able to finish two ponies this week. My new goal is to finish one pony everyday in June. I know that I should be showing you four, since it's June 5th, but I haven't had a chance to take pictures of them yet. So you'll just have to check back next week! Then I'm planning on taking a break from customizing until after the MLP Fair. I may even take off the whole month of July. We'll see where things go. :) Enjoy!

As a bonus, here are more pictures of Enfys, my pink fairy.

Friday update!

Hello! I didn't realize until after I was in bed that I forgot to write in my blog yesterday. I don't have any ponies to show today because of the holiday weekend. Sorry!

However, I did figure something out about my writing. Whenever I'm with my best friend (since kindergarten!), I get inspired to write. I hadn't written since the 14th, been in a bit of a slump. I saw her Wednesday and when I arrived home later that evening, I was suddenly filled with ideas. I was able to write over 500 words yesterday and jotted down a few ideas. Thank you Jess for being one of my biggest inspirations!

And now, I leave you with this selfie.

Swiftwind and Wish-a-Whirl

Afternoon, ladies and gents! In all of the craziness that is my life, I was able to finish two ponies this past week. Both are commissions, so neither are for sale. But don't worry; I will have some for sale soon!

Wish-a-Whirl- based on a Gen3 MLP.

Swiftwind- She-ra's faithful horse.

This last bit is something I found on Facebook this morning that moved me. It's words that don't exist in the English language. I think my favorite has to be Forelsket, which is Norwegian for the euphoria you experience when you are first falling in love. <3

That is the end of my short update. Until next time!

Fairy Magic

Okay guys, I'll be straight with ya! I worked really hard on Saturday! But I only have one pony to show for it. I promise you I will have two for next week to make up for the slacking.

This is the first in a series of baby fairy ponies I am doing. I don't have a name for her yet, but I'm brainstorming. I'm planning on doing five more in various other colors. The hair is from Retro Dolls US and the wings were made by me using transparency sheets, glitter and wire. She will be available at the MLP Fair in July.

As for writing, that is going great! I picked up a little travel sized journal to jot down notes and ideas. I feel like I'm right on the brink of something...but I am having trouble expressing it. I am going to leave it alone for the weekend and probably connect with my creative side by playing a video game or reading a book. Sometimes all it takes is a walk in the woods by myself.

Live long and prosper!

Spring Sales

Hey gang! There's not a whole lot to say on this gorgeous Thursday. I didn't get any ponies finished because life got in the way, but I did write a lot. I'm so happy with where my story is headed, but I think I need a little more conflict in between my characters. Push some boundaries and create a rift... *shifty eyes*

Second, I have some beautiful customs for sale up in my Etsy shop. For a limited time, I'm offering 20% off your purchase! Use the code PONY20 and please visit the link below.

That is all I have for today, but I do have a special blog I will be posting tomorrow. Keep your eyes open! :) Have a super great day.

Thursday update on a Monday...

Good morning! My weekly update is a few days slow... I don't have much to show, but I do have two works in progress I'd like to share. I'm not telling who they are, but if you'd like to guess in my comments, feel free. (I believe a couple things are a dead giveaway.) ;) That's it for my customs update.

As for writing, I really  got into on Thursday and Friday. I wrote so much on Thursday night, I went to bed late. And I wish I would've stayed up longer because even after I laid my head down there were ideas swirling through my brain. I'm not sure where all the sudden inspiration came from, but it was indeed glorious. Now that I have a better idea of where I want my story to go, the writing has been a lot easier. And my sweet child bothers me very little, especially when I put in his favorite movie, Oliver and Company.

See you in a few days for my update again! Perhaps I will have one of these ladies finished for you. ;)

If you like what you see, please share my blog with your friends. <3

Sheik from Legend of Zelda

Hi hi hi! I'm starting to build up my custom inventory for the My Little Pony Fair in July, so get ready to see some regular updates from me. I've been meaning to figure out a day to update weekly. It just may be Thursdays. They're pretty uneventful I suppose...I don't know though, my life is so random. I need to make some goals for the fair also. Last year was pretty successful but I know I could have done better. So yeah, goals!

Anyway, I'm planning on doing a few series of customs. Legend of Zelda, X-men, Avengers and a very special surprise custom that will be available for silent auction. That is, if I can get that one finished. I may run out of sculpting material. It's very detailed.

Without further delay, I present Sheik. I sculpted his bandages and hair with magic sculpt and painted him with acrylics. Enjoy!

As for my writing, I'm trying to write when I have the chance. I need to make a schedule for that also. Just add that to my enormous to do list I suppose! I have an awesome scene I need to write out. I can't wait.

Until next time, dearies!!!!

Luigi, Blueberry Baskets, Bluebell

Hello friends! I have finished three customs since Saturday and another is on the way. How exciting! I've been getting kind of lazy so being able to get all of those finished this weekend was a huge accomplishment. I've only got three more commissions to finish and then I can start to really concentrate on ponies for the MLP Fair in July. I have so many ideas, I hope I can get most of them finished! Without further delay, here are pictures of my latest customs.

First is Bluebell. She was a commission and I'm not sure if that's what her owner is naming her, but that's her symbol so therefor that's her name. ;)

Next is Luigi from Super Mario Bros. This one was a special commission for my friend who lost her brother in September, so it was in memory of him.

The last another commission. Blueberry Baskets was based on an original 80s pony. :)

I don't remember if I've mentioned it or not, but I am writing a story. It's based on a popular children's book, and since December, I've been trying to get everything just right. However, while I was on a mini-vacation in Chicago, my carefree mind had a revelation. This may be based on another person's story, and sure, I'm using some of the same characters, but it is ultimately mine. It really opened up my imagination and I had some fabulous new ideas on what to do in my book. So exciting!!!

That's it for me today. I may have another post by the end of the week.

Princess Zelda and Sheela

Behold! My latest custom ponies. The first was a commission, Princess Zelda. I used Magic Sculpt for this one and it took me forever. I think I was afraid to get started because I didn't know where to start. I really learned from her. I learned to do a little bit at a time and that's what made it easier in the end.

The next is Sheela, to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. For her poofy orange hair, I used mohair and strung beads into it to make it prettier. Her symbol is a clover with orange crystals.

I also wrote today. 938 words! I wanted to write 1000 words, but that was the extent of my creativity apparently. :)

Welcome to my blog!

Here I am ladies and gentlemen! I have finally entered the blogging world.

Why did it take me so long?
I don't know. I have always been slow to everything new that comes along for fear I will hate it or be disappointed. Even with Facebook, I didn't start a page until 2009 because I was afraid to give up MySpace. I think I eventually deleted MySpace out of lack of visiting the page.

What will my blog be about?
I suppose my blog will be about My Little Pony customs mainly, with a little bit of housewife/stay-at-home-mom knowledge.

I am also a crafter and an artist, so a little bit of that will be sprinkled in as well. One more thing, and maybe the second main reason I am starting this; I am an aspiring writer. I want to write fiction and I've already started my first project. It's very far in the making because I am a very busy woman! But I work on it here and there, just as I do my ponies and crafts.

So here's to the future of my blog, and thanks for reading!
