Flutterbat, Daybreak and Sweet Pop

Hello lovelies! I've finished more commissions this week. I think I am down to two left, then I'm free. I mean, I am open for more commissions, but I'll be able to work on my own creations. As for what I'm currently working on, two are characters from season 4 of FiM. I'm hoping to have one finished by next Thursday. Then the other four are a set based on vintage ponies. Maybe those will get finished by next week as well.

I've been thinking a lot about my story lately. I am 99.9% positive on the ending now. And while I was working out last week I had an idea for a couple of sequels to this bad boy. So there you have it! I just need to find time to write. It's difficult with an almost 4 year old. I hate planting him in front of the TV so I can get my stuff done. I've been trying to get him to watch less and do other things more, like paint, read, play. He does well. But sometimes he's just got to watch Turbo or Octonauts, and I don't blame him. :)

Thanks for reading! See you next week!

February Already?!

How is it February? How? I only read one book last month so I must strive for more this month. I've already started reading though, so that's a plus. I was reading it on Tuesday night and the only reason I stopped reading was because I was so tired. :) I'm reading Bound by Kate Sparkes.

Also I have not done any writing in my story. But Sunday night it was keeping me awake in bed, so I am thinking that needs to happen soon. Even if it's only editing, I will work on it this week.

The pony schedule! That has gone well this week. I got two rehaired, but need to curl one and fix the eyes on the other. Here are some pictures to share. (Sorry for the quality!) Also the finished wings I made last week.

Well. I'm just not feeling very eloquent this week. Perhaps next week I will have more to say. It doesn't help that I'm tired right now. I had a huge weekend and it's all catching up with me. Love you all!

Wings and Things

Another little hobby of mine that goes along with customizing My Little Ponies is making them wings. I like to work with fantasy film to recreate neat looking butterfly and fairy wings, and other bug wings as well. Here are a few that were commissioned recently that I have finished this week.

Some people buy them for replacements for their flutter ponies, and some buy them to use on customs. I'm happy to supply them to both groups. :) If you're interested in a pair or two, shoot me a message or email.

I also have a work-in-progress to share.  :D Two are commissions and one will be for sale in the future.

And I did manage to get one finished this week! Another commission. I'm not sure of her name, but she's somebody's OC.

Inspired

I have worked hard this week! I have gotten a lot finished and I'm happy with myself. It's not a perfect schedule yet, but every bit is progress.

I had a Star Wars marathon over the weekend and it inspired me to make some Jedi ponies in the future. Also I'm writing on a couple characters from FIM. I'm hoping to get them finished soon.

Not too much writing this week, but I'll be working on it soon. At least I wrote my blog, right?

I played playdo with my son today and made these.

Have a fabulous week! I'll have more to share next week!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, bloggers! It's been a long time since my last blog entry, but I am back with many new goals for the year.

Goal #1: This has to do with my art. I want to be more artistic every day. This was a goal I had made last year that I didn't really follow through with. My original goal was to draw/paint one piece every month, but now that I think back, with my busy life, that wasn't the best goal. So this goal needed revising. This year, I want to work on my art three times a week. Whether it be drawing a whole section, or simply shading a small area, I think this is a more realistic goal for me.

Goal #2: Last year I made the goal of making one pony a month, and I did it! Cha-ching bada-bing bang boom...ahem...yesh. So as an extension to this goal, I want to complete not only one commission a month, but also one pony that was born from my own brain. So that's TWO ponies a month. I'm already done with three commissions for January, now I need to complete a brainchild. I also want to spend more time brainstorming about it every month. So there's that.

Goal #3: Write more! Last year, I did a fantastic job of writing for my story. But the goal was to write every day and fill up a journal with my life. That didn't happen. I had, like, five entries. And three of those entries were ideas for my story. Yowza. So my third goal is to write every day. Some days I will write in my story, and some days I will write in my journal. And every Thursday, I WILL update my blog. I will!!!!!!

Goal #4: Publish my story. :D I think that's enough said right there.

Goal #5: Weight loss thingies and healthy stuffs. I lost 20 lbs since last September and I have the ambition to lose more. I made a goal sometime in the fall to lose 60 lbs by summer, and I want to see through to that! I'm already 1/3 of the way there. I have the tools I need to eat healthy and keep track of my food and exercise every day, so I know I can do it. Shameless plug for Spark People: This is THE BEST tool ever. It can be used on your computer and also is a fantastic app. You can plug in a weight that you want to be and it puts out how many calories you are allowed for the day. You can put all of your goals in it and review them every day. <--(That's what I like.) It's so helpful, I love it!

Goal #6: I had already saved this and scheduled it, then remembered; hey! I had another goal. I want to read two books a month. I signed up for Goodreads yesterday, so feel free to check me out. https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/39126301-stephanie-smith

So here's to 2015!! *clinks glasses with the lot of ya* I leave you with the one-winged angel from hell, Sephiroth, from FFVII. He was a commission for a good friend.
